What had developed into the ‘magic bullet’ of football injuries, has turned out to be a misunderstanding. Reports have surfaced today citing a joke from a high ranking team official as the cause of the false report. According to Alouettes Director of Communications Charles Rooke, it was taken as fact instead of what he assumed to be harmless fiction when he told a reporter of the infamous peace sign.
We can finally stop our investigation into the possibility of the ludicrous injury and with it cut out the countless puns that blew up Twitter after Tuesday’s report. I too am disappointed like many of you out there because of the ridiculous nature of it, but I’m sure Stephen is glad to be on the right side of a media report for once.
